If you’re an outdoorsy, hike-loving enthusiast, then buckle up because Blue Ridge is about to blow you away! When we tell you Blue Ridge has it all, we mean it! Mountain views, hidden waterfalls, babbling creeks, I mean what more could one ask for?
As avid outdoorsy people, we never get bored with Blue Ridge. Here are our top-recommended ones you do not want to skip out on:
Benton MacKaye Trail
This one honestly needed an honorable mention. The Benton MacKaye Trail is the father of all trails in the area, with multiple trailheads, including some of the ones mentioned in this blog! It even connects to the Appalachian Trail; how cool is that?! If you’re a true adventurer at heart, you’ll love this one!
Fall Branch Falls Trail
Georgia and waterfalls go together like peanut butter and jelly. We could honestly make an entire blog on waterfall hikes alone (totally not foreshadowing *wink wink). If we had to narrow it down to the prettiest and easiest to get to, we’d have to go with Fall Branch Falls. It’s a super easy hike (no stairs on this one!), and it’s such a pretty spot to hang out and picnic!
Swinging Bridge Trail
A little easy and a little thrilling. Just like the name suggests, this bridge SWINGS! It suspends over the Toccoa River, and it’s honestly such a pretty hike while being family-friendly! And while you’re there, you can even try tubing and kayaking!
Blood Mountain
Don’t let the name scare you away! Blood Mountain is a little bit of a challenge but such a safe trek, and it’s seriously one of the prettiest hikes in North Georgia (it’s the highest peak on the Appalachian Trail!) You’re gonna wanna post your top of the mountain pics when you’re done! (btw if you’re not following us on Insta, you totally should!)
Amicalola Falls
What’s that, another waterfall? Yep! This one is so worth the trip, and the view at the end is amazing. First off, this one is HUGE! That also means it comes with a crazy amount of stairs, but it’s so worth it!
Ocoee Whitewater Center Trails
This one is less of a trail and more of a jungle gym of rocks! You’ll want to spend all day here! It’s part of the greater Toccoa/Occonee River, so you can do white water rafting while you’re there and make it a day full of adventure!
And while you’re adventuring your way through North Georgia, why not rest easy between hikes and stay at one of our cabins? You’ll get the perfect mix of adventure and true rest.
We hope you found these helpful! Happy hiking!
