River Run is a thoughtfully designed riverfront retreat on the Ellijay River – built for the moments that happen when families finally have the space and the time to just be together.
On the River
The Ellijay River runs along the full length of the property, and it becomes the heartbeat of every stay. You hear it from the bedroom. You feel it from the porch. Pull an Adirondack chair and let the currents do the talking. As the day winds down, the stone fire pit beside the river becomes the natural gathering place. Marshmallows, stories, a sky full of stars.
The Space
Every room was designed to pull people together. The main level opens into a chef’s kitchen fully stocked with a Samsung appliance suite, a French-door refrigerator, and a 36-inch range – made for the cook in the family who finally has room to work. The dining table seats the whole group beneath a warm Edison bulb chandelier. The living room anchors around a fireplace and large sliding doors that open the entire space to upper level porch, where you can hear the river flowing from just beyond.
Downstairs, a dedicated game room keeps the energy going long after dinner – pool table, foosball, Xbox gaming system, and a flat-screen smart TV. Outside, two expansive back porches offer generous seating, a remote-controlled fireplace for cooler evenings, and views of the river at every turn.
The Bedrooms
There are four distinct rooms, each with its own character.
The main-level primary suite features a king bed dressed in hypoallergenic down linens, a spa-style ensuite with a freestanding soaking tub, double vanity, and standing shower, and private porch access where a bed swing looks out over the Ellijay River. Two upper-level suites each carry their own warmth – one with a private porch, oversized rocking chair, and hammock. The lower-level bunk room is a world of its own: a rope-suspended king hanging bed, custom built-in twin bunks, and walkout deck access to the hot tub, swings, and ping-pong table below. Every bed is fitted with hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters.
The Outdoors
Three and a half acres unfold along the river’s edge. The stone fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The 7-to-8-person hot tub on the lower deck, cleaned and refilled between every stay. Fairy lights strung above the lower patio seating. Bed swings, hanging chairs, a ping-pong table. Somewhere between all of it, the river keeps moving – and somehow, so does the conversation.

A Few Details
Check-in at 5:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late checkout requests are welcome — reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Maximum fourteen guests. Driveway parking for up to six vehicles — no street parking. Mid-stay cleaning available for an additional fee. Outdoor music welcome at low volume until 10:00 PM — no amplified speakers. Package deliveries cannot be accepted during stays. Roads are fully paved to the gravel driveway — no weather concerns year-round. Nearest hospital: Blue Ridge Medical Center, twenty-one minutes away. Exterior security cameras on grounds.
River Run is designed for families and intimate gatherings. We kindly ask that it not be used for parties or large events, so that every guest — and the surrounding neighborhood — can enjoy the peace that makes this place special.

Pets
River Run welcomes up to two hypoallergenic dogs under 30 lbs each, with a $150 pet fee. Dogs are not permitted on furniture or in the hot tub. If your pup is slightly over the weight limit but hypoallergenic, send us a message and we’ll be happy to talk through it. If you have dogs that are non-hypoallergenic, we are happy to accommodate for a $300 cleaning fee to cover the deep cleaning costs. Please reach out and let us know if this is something you need.
Free Wifi
After each guest, we thoroughly clean and refill the hot tub to ensure it’s in pristine condition for your enjoyment. However, please note that the hot tub will not be immediately heated to your desired temperature upon arrival. It takes some time for the water to heat up to the desired temperature, so we ask that you adjust the temperature as soon as you arrive if you plan on using the hot tub during your stay. The hot tub should never be set above 104 degrees for health reasons.
Your total reservation fee for this home includes a per-booking damage waiver fee, including any applicable taxes. The damage waiver ensures coverage for any accidental damage caused to the home or its contents, including appliances and furnishings, up to a maximum of $20,000. However, to benefit from this coverage, you must report the incident to the host before you check out. The damage waiver serves as a replacement for the conventional security deposit.
