Blue Ridge, Georgia knows how to speak to the longing for rest and adventure inside of every one of us. Tucked away in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, this wonderful little town offers more than just lovely scenery – especially when October (the prime fall-time season) hits. Apple orchards, mountain hikes in the crisp air, and cozy drive-in theaters along with countless other activities make this place perfect for your next getaway.
Let us help you build out your to-do’s for your trip! Here is a list of perfect fall activities for Blue Ridge in October. Enjoy!
Apple Picking at Mercier Orchards
We recommend apple picking at Mercier Orchards, one of the largest apple orchards in the Southeast. This orchard is STUNNING – not only is the apple picking so fun, but the views around are truly hard to beat.
Trade the orchards for the trail with an afternoon of Horseback Riding! Blue Ridge’s surrounding forest and river valleys make for a beautiful riding experience, ESPECIALLY when you add in the changing fall leaves.
We think it’s safe to say that The Swan Drive-In truly is a wonderful fall time activity. What’s better than snuggling up in some blankets, camping out in the back of your car, and watching a good film?
Go on a Hike!
Blue Ridge offers a plethora of wonderful hiking options, including the Taccoa River Swinging Bridge, Long Branch Loop, and countless others.
